Self-Care Sunday

The weekend is almost over and Monday blues are already creeping in but its okay, why? because we've put together a self-care package fit for a weekend recovery and ready to kick start your week. We've included everything from the cutest pajamas to our favorite scented candles.

Clothing Check!

First and foremost a cute and comfortable loungewear set is essential. If your evenings are hotter than most, opt for a silk combo. If it's a chilly night in, some snug lounge sets are the way forward.

Helpful Tip; if you are prone to night sweats or suffer from anxiety and panic disorders try to wear something less restrictive so you're capable of movement. You can always layer up with a nightgown if you begin to feel cold and/or use a weighted blanket for additional comfort.

Comfort vs Sexy

Robes can do wonders for both hot and cold temperatures. The correct robe can determine your mood. A woolly, heavy one screams comfort, and paired with some furry slippers and a hot cup of tea/hot chocolate you're ready for a night of relaxation.

On the other hand, if you fancy a more relaxed yet sexy vibe, purchase a silk robe with soft patterns, nothing too crazy. This paired with your favorite lingerie set and you're good to go.

Accessories

Before applying any face masks, it's always good to keep your hair back and away from your face. The less its in the way the more your skin can breathe.

If you've washed your hair, use a microfibre towel to dry and then a silk scarf to keep it back and in place. Other accessories that could be used are clips, headbands, and headwraps as well as scrunchies.

Setting an Ambiance

Invest in some low mood lighting to set the right ambiance. LED lights can often be harsh and bright therefore something softer such as lamp lighting would be ideal and if you do choose something more colorful then keep it on a lower setting to add to the calm vibe.

Candles can add to the soft glow of the room and the scent can also be a factor to consider when creating a relaxing aroma. We have hand-selected some of our best scents.

For a relaxing feel, the scents to be mindful are include; Pine and Vanilla, Lavender, Chamomile, Sage, and Thyme.

If you have had a particularly stressful week, Peppermint has been a Greek secret for aiding those with depression and anxiety. The Romans and Egyptians were also fans of this for that particular reason.

Additional scents to reduce stress and tension include the smell of Rosemary or even Jasmine and Honeysuckle

You can also go for the theme of the year and pick something, summery, fall-ish, wintery, or a spring set.

Body and Face Products:

The best products will always vary on your skin type. Whether you have dry, oily, combination, irritation, or even sensitive skin. Our best advice is to select bath bombs, facemasks, and moisturizers all suited to your skin type. Our brand recommendations are;

And RELAX!

Once you have all the above essentials, jump into bed, pick up a good book or the TV remote, and get relaxing. If that's still not sitting right with you, try mediation or even a coloring book...weird, I know... but it's proven very effective for the stressed mind.
