Tips and Tricks on Back to School Style!
Updated: Aug 23, 2020
Student life is far from easy and whether you’re off to school in the fall or sitting at home waiting for your virtual class to begin, you need to be in something stylish, comfortable and dare I say requires minimal effort.
Here are some stylish tips on how to dress to impress with minimal effort but maximum comfort.
Styling Tip One:
Keep it Light! Depending on where you are in the world the weather is constantly changing. If you're living where the sun is still shining then keep it light and opt for a babydoll dress with some sneakers. If fall has already kicked in for you then layer it up! A cropped cardigan paired with some mom jeans are a perfect transition from summer to fall. Now, if you're living where the sun remains shy, layer up even more and throw on a light jacket. One which you can easily take off and wrap around your waist when the sun begins to sneak back into the sky.

Styling Tip Two:
Never be afraid to add a pop of color. School itself can be a drag and there's no better way to uplift your mood and others by being your own sunshine.

Styling Tip Three:
Comfort is Key! If you're walking around campus, wear something practical like sneakers or a wedge. If you're sitting in the comfort of your home, throw on an oversized hoodie and a pair of leggings. That way you can say goodbye to sucking in your stomach and squeezing into a pair of jeans.

Styling Tip Four:
Tie-dye was a thing of the 70's but like all good things, it has made a comeback! Try brightening up your wardrobe by adding some staple tie-dye pieces. You can either purchase them or get creative, take a white (or black) plain piece, and dye away.

Styling Tip Five:
If virtual education is not a thing at your school, make sure you stay safe by taking your own pair of gloves and a mask (alongside a lot of hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial wipes).
Luckily for you, VLRstylist has a whole article on how to best style your mask with your outfit so there is no need to feel as if your identity has been stripped by wearing protective clothing.
